Question by PHD_Magicman: What kind of differences will the new Xbox 360 “slim” have?
Microsoft is coming out with a new 360 with 250 gb HDD and I was wondering what kind of other differences it might have, it looks really cool and they say it will be only 300$ .
Is it worth trading in my 120 HDD Elite for this new Beast?

The only things they changed are the design, added a built in 250 gig hard drive (I already have a detachable 250 gb), made the fan quieter, and added built in wifi. Basically they stopped screwing people over so badly with that wifi thing especially. I’m probably not going to get it though, since they didn’t add much in the way of features, just fixed the console.

Well you already know about the built in 250 GB hard drive ( which you can still switch out i might add), it has built in wi-fi, its kinect ready( the new motion you are the controller thing), its slimmer, lighter, same controlers all work for it and its at the same price. I’d say go for it i know i am.
its easy to portable
I think it will be. I just traded in my Elite with some extras for quite a bit of dough (money). It’ll have built in wireless N wifi, a built in 250 GB hard drive. It comes with your standard AV cables (yellow, white, red), so getting the HD cables is up to you. It comes with your average black controller, but with a new design. It has all black thumb sticks, it’s a chromish-black finish on the bottom of it, just like on the console. It also has a chrome, silver Xbox menu button in the middle. It has touch sensitive eject and power buttons just like the original PS3, so no more button pushing on the system. It also comes with an all black head set, which is another new-be. And the power jack is a bit smaller then the last and has only 2 small vents on it. It has a black finish that is sort of like the original Elites finish. As far as memory goes, you will either have to buy a $ 20 transfer cable, or you will have to use a USB drive and transfer your stuff to that so you don’t lose any of your DLC (yes the map packs and more).
Yes, its worth trading in. The new xbox is really quiet, and its even quieter if you install your game to the hard drive. It looks really cool and stays really cool, usually 10 degrees above room temperature. The controller it comes with isnt much different, only that the xbox button is in chrome. The power brick is about 50% of its old size and stays much cooler. Its just all around quieter and more reliable than the old ones.
