Which budget system is better for gaming?

question from Amy : What resources is better for gaming
I am looking to buy a computer for $ 500 – $ 600. Among other things I would like to be able to play games from both the “desktop” and “MMORPG” ‘Art. I am under the two systems, listing that I was considering. Please tell me which one you think it would be better for gaming and why. The Mac is a way better but the Dell should be better overall because it has a bigger hard drive, probably a higher GHz than the Mac and more ram. The only downfall would be that the graphics card is pretty bad, but it can be in contrast to the Mac.

    What? no the mac is nowhere near better, are you on drugs (first answerer) go with the dell, BUT do not get the slim as they are a pain in the arse to upgrage. They only take slim graphics cards and the power supply they use is a very odd shape only used by dell, by the fatter version, and upgrade to a quad core if your budget will allow.
