i’m gonna upgrade my comp..my graphics card alone costs30000..i’m planning to get a nvidia8800GTX.. 
but i tell u, don’t be stingy about your graphics card and processor.. get the best you can afford.. go for some 8 series or 9 series.. this link should help u

other stuffs like monitor n speakers nall is upto u.. get a good optical mouse.. n make sure your cabinet has enf fans.. you need to keep it cool..

whatever you do make sure u get a Nvidia 9800 its the best
if u need a good gaming pc for that range which is abt $ 875CAD then i suggest this config…i just got it myself as well.
-AMD AthlonX2 Dual Core 6000+ 3.1ghz(overclocked to 3.6)
-4Gb DDR2 RAM
-Asus M3N78 MOBO
-Nvidia GeForce EVGA9500 GT+ 1gb
-OCZ GameXStream 700watts PSU
-Apevia X-Cruiser Mid Tower case
-Hitachi 1tb HDD
The only thing id say is if u get a Asus mobo with AMD chipsets with PCIe 2.0 then id suggest get that one.A bit of advice try not to get biostar or gigabyte mobo’s if u cant find a asus look for msi if u cant find that wait sometime any other motherboards then asus or msi are sucky ones not even nvidia mobos one with a chipset is ok but nvidia mobos are not so good either..these are just cheap imitations…asus and msi are the leads..this one has nvidia chipset not as good as AMD chipset…but pretty good even with 3.6 overclock its stable.It Costed me $ 724 btw.without monitor or optical drives had those already.Also id suggest that u get Nvidia EVGA 9 series.its awesome.
