Question by artificialy_jourdan: Is this a good “Gaming PC?”?
Im exceptionally good with electronics, but im not that into gaming. Im not sure how my new gamming rig would be rated by a gamer. A 1 to 10 rating would be great.
Dual Intel Pentium 4 CPU- 2.80ghz (Overclocked to 3ghz)
4Gigs of RAM. DDR2
SATA HD 7200rpm
ATI Raedon 2400 PRO (This is overclocked. 100+mhz and +55memory)
I also have outboard (non-integrated) sound card if that helps to take some load off the CPU.
Thanks!~
(Also, im looking for a new video card. A very fast, but inexpensive one. Prefferibly one that can run Assasin’s Creed 2 and CoD4 on High-Medium.)
It is a dual core, forgot to mention that. Thought I did. And the pentium 4 series isnt that old.
Graphics card = crap. Any suggestions?

nah not really.
u can forget the games because it doesn’t have a dual-core and bad graphics card
Its all right…… but your graphic card is on the old side like you said. But if your looking to play assasin creed 2, which is a very intense game, you should probably kick the pentium out too. An intel core 2 duo and a ATI 5850 will do the trick, unless your moniter’s res is above 1920 x 1200. If you like nvidea then the GTS 250. I recommend the ati 5000 series card though, since it supports DX10, it helps to future proof your pc. Anything that is 5000 series for ati or 200 series by nvidea will do the trick.
in my perspective i would recommend a dou core, and pentium 4 isnt that old , it’s still ok for gaming not so good though so maybe u should upgrade it. for the video card i think i… if u prefer radeon then get a Asus EAH4870 u can play all ur games at very high if u dont have enought then the ASUS EAH4670 would be fine on high or medium. ( both arent that expensive) (radeon is for good graphics , nivdia geforce is good for preformance) if u like nivdia then i would recomend a ASUS EN9600GT/DI/512MD3 if can handle higher i then a 9800gt would be great) dont listen to the other guys it’s not that old and runs good on alot of games, if its gaming u want then the graphic card is ur onlyy option.
