Question by St3v0: I orderd a custom desktop “gaming” if you would like lol…?
Okay, I updated all drives and installed java blah blah..lol all that jazz have xp os..and im new to this so please help me…i have a sony surround sound that I had hooked up to my older computer and it worked well for some reason this computer wont let me it says when i go to the volume manager that i need to go to add hardware..oh and yes this has a sound card lol. Please If you know how to do this please inform me on it step by step…I went and tryed adding the hardware..and the only hardware with the name sony well i forgot what was after sony but i added it and still nothing?

write down the name of the card and search for the drivers online. If it was like mine, it will be a .exe file. I double clicked it and it installed a program with all the crap like mixer/effects/2 speakers – 5.1 surround etc.
Very simillar to the speaker icon that you get in the bottom right of your screen. Said must restart pc, so I did. When it restarted it said found new hardware, blah blah blah. and whallaaa.. I had sound :)
